I would like to publish a lost document ad in a leading newspaper. Here the problem is FIR copy is older than 1.5 - 2 year. How can I get an ad published for this case? This is required to get a duplicate copy of the degree certificate from Bangalore University.

Answer:

You can place your Loss of documents advertisement through releaseMyAd. The FIR copy should not be more than 6 months old. In case it is more than a year old, you need to register a FIR or General Diary again with any nearby police station. More than 6 months old documents will not be accepted by any of the publication houses.

You can place your newspaper advertisement for loss of documents once you have the fresh supporting document. Follow the steps below to place your ad:

  1. Visit releaseMyAd
  2. Select your preferred ad type (Classified Text / Classified Display)
  3. Select the newspaper and location in which you want to post your advertisement.
  4. Compose your ad text
  5. Select your preferred date of publication, the earliest date available, will be highlighted.
  6. Preview your ad details.
  7.  Register yourself.
  8. Upload your supporting document (copy of FIR/ General Diary, not more than 6 months)
  9. Choose payment mode (Online/ Offline)

If you are unable to upload the document, you can email the supporting document to documents@releasemyad.com mentioning the Ad Id that will get generated after making the payment.
